Pretty Tough

Being a woman in todays society is hard and you have to be pretty tough to survive it unscathed. No, this is not me being over dramatic or trying to play the victim. I've experienced first hand, as a woman, the difficulties that are inherently in place for women right now. Granted, shit has gotten better throughout the years, which I'm grateful for, but it's still not good enough.

I've decided to have a blog on my photography page because I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing and powerful women so far in my journey and I feel like their voices deserve to be heard. I can only speak so loudly - we need a ton of women to share their stories so the people in the back can hear them! I chose the name Pretty Tough for this blog because not only to women have to be pretty tough to handle what shit flies our way, but we are capable of being pretty and tough when we want to be.

There may be times where the blogs may not be about women but potentially allies to the movement of trying to further empower women and make shit equal for us. We can't do it on our own and therefore, supporters need to hear why others support us the way they do.

This is going to be a very 'real' blog where we aren't going to sugar coat anything - we can't. I'm going to showcase the different women I have and will work with. I'm going to make sure that our voices are heard in the best way I possibly can as a small town, on-the-side photographer. Therefore, I sincerely hope you enjoy learning about all of these amazing women and humans, and just MAYBE we can make a small difference in our world.
